To the right a rocky cliff topped with a few Monterey Cypress trees ascends from the water; a flock of gulls is in flight against the cliff. On the foreground shore are several brown broulders, on the right are three bright white-capped rocks. The entire painting is executed in shades of brown and yellow. (From a color photograph.)
