| Description: | A white-water creek tumbles through the center of the picture with forest on both sides leaning over the stream bed. Bright white sky appears in the center between the trees and the sun brightens a yellow-green patch on the right behind the nearest tree trunks. A fallen log extends from the right into the creek; wildflowers are seen near the creek on the left. (From a color photograph.) |
| Identification: | The Bonhams & Butterfields sale catalog reports the title verso inscription; the Christopher Queen Galleries record also reports it, omitting the word On. All of the photographs appear to be of the same painting. |
