| Description: | Four pictures in one. 1. Near foreground. Small waves break over a rocky point at the right; water covers all but the rightmost front edge. A driftwood snag lies atop the rocks. 2. Farther foreground. Looking across a small cove to another rocky point on the right with several white seagulls flying overhead. Three conifers stand on the point, the tallest one leaning slightly toward the water. More snags are on the ground below the trees. There is green underbrush along the water's edge; higher up on the point is brownish grass. 3. Middle distance. Two white sailboats are seen on the river. 4. Background. On the other side of the water, a low coastal ridge on the left gives rise to a rugged rocky range on the left; behind that is a rugged, snowcapped mountain range on the right, against a featureless sky.
