| Attribution: | The Butterfield West cataloguer was apparently doubtful about the attribution. The catalog entry reads "Attributed to Frederick Ferdinand Schafer" and "bears signature 'Fredck. Schafer'" However, the painting appears typical of Schafer's watercolors, and the signature also appears to be typical, apart from the unusual abbrevation of the forename. |
