E. Schafer

One oil paintings, said to be of the Ausable River in New York state, has emerged bearing a signature with possible reading "E. Schafer" in mostly upper-case lettering. The subject matter is typical but the composition style, palette, and signature are all quite different from those characteristic of Frederick Ferdinand Schafer, so it seems likely that this is a different artist.

Nothing else has been discovered about this Schafer.
