Description: | Only the brown trunks and lower foliage of five large redwood trees are within view; a stream enters at the center and runs directly toward the viewer past several small boulders. A clearing on the left is littered with rocks and wildflowers;; the right side of the stream has much more undergrowth. The forest continues in the distance, leaving only a small patch of cloudy sky in the top center. The entire painting is in shades of brown and yellow green. (From a color photograph.) |
