Attribution: | Composition and palette are typical of Schafer, but there are a few concerns. (1) The profile of El Capitan is unlike the profile in any of the many other Schafer paintings of Yosemite. (2) Bridalveil Fall does not look natural; Schafer usually paints natural looking waterfalls. (3) There is no natural clutter in the foreground. Clutter in the form of snags, etc., is almost a Schafer trademark. |
