Description: A creek ripples down over a succession of small falls in the interior of a forest, toward the foreground where it passes through a pool surrounded by bright beige boulders. The trunks of two, dead trees, one beige and one grey, stand above the boulders on the right, while a little farther back another dead tree leans slightly out over the creek. In the background the sides are filled with indistinct forest foliage around the sun-brightened upper center. (From the painting, 21 July 1990.)
Note: This painting and Indians hunting in Yosemite Valley appear to be pendants.
Identification: Descriptive title said to come from a now-covered verso inscription.
