Attribution: Although the subject matter is typical for Frederick F. Schafer, the style is quite different—impressionist, using strokes of raw color, and almost as if the artist were trying to imitate the style of Vincent Van Gogh. The signature is in a script hand that is unlike the examples of script hand that have been attributed to Frederick F. Schafer.
