Description: The indistinct silhouette of a sharply peaked mountain in the distance with several notable bumps on its right flank (perhaps Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California) stands above a valley with a stream that runs from the center of the painting out toward the front. There are snags lying on both banks of the stream; the one on the left points to the right, with the line continued by the slope on the right. (From a monochrome photograph.)
