Note: (1) The advertisement mentions "Italien Scenery", but as of 2021 no paintings have emerged that by title or appearance seem to be of Italian sites. (2) The notation in the lower left corner suggests that this advertisement was scheduled to appear 4 times, probably on February 8, 11, 15, and 18 February 1888, although the last date would be after the auction.
