Description: | A fisherman sits in an open forest beneath the largest tree, pole over his shoulder, contemplating a stream and a flock of birds climbing into the sky in the distance. The stream flows directly from the center towards the viewer, brightly reflecting the sky above which is whitish blue at top, shading to yellowish and then pink near the horizon, where it becomes cloudy. The bank on the left holds two almost leafless birch trees above a series of white boulders beside the stream. The slightly denser forest on the right includes both brown and white-trunked trees.
