Description: | A steep cliff stands on the left side against a sky that is largely filled with clouds, with distant cliffs below continuing the horizon line to the right. The sun, over the viewer's shoulder to the left, catches the top of the cliff, bathing it, some of the clouds, and the tops of the distant cliffs, in a purplish pink. A steep hillside in the foreground continues to below the cliff; nearby are boulders, while farther away the hillside becomes forested. Just below the cliff stand two prominent conifers silhoueted agains the brighter distant cliffs. (From a color photograph.) |
