Description: | A tall, snow-covered mountain stands a little to the left of center under a hazy sky, across a lake on the left with two low ranges of hills on the other side. Three white birds are in the air over the lake. Three large boulders decorated with bits of green vegetation lie in the lower right corner of the painting, a downed snag lies across the boulders with its tip extending into the lake. Behind the boulders are two tall, sparse conifers. The forest on the far side of the lake is mixed evergreen and deciduous trees. (From a color photograph.) |
